How often have you tried to delete or rename a file or folder and got “Cannot delete xxx: It is being used by another person or program.” ?

Launchy is the most efficient way to open files, folders, websites, and programs on your computer. Nobody likes to hunt through the start menu to find an application, just to find that the application is hidden under some obscure folder named after a company you have never heard of! Instead,

7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio. Absolutely free and ready to use for anybody, I use it more that a few years. Also it has handy command line version - I use this feature in my .bat files for automatically archive my source files, I am very lazy to find good backup software:)

I could not download videos from YouTube before. I view them, and had to run the page once again to watch some interesting video again. Not long ago I found tool that can help me. It is YouTube Downloader from BienneSoft.

Imagine that you need to find some string in your files. This task can be done by Windows standart search tool. It will show you the list of files, which contain your string. Then you need to view these files to find the string there. Having a list of lines from these files containing the searched string would be more convenient.
PRGrep gives you such opportunity.

Do you use FireFox? If no, download and try it immediate:) As for me I don’t like it, but there are a lot of people which think that FF is the best browser in whole word.
In both case, if you already use it for safe browsing or only thinking about download FireFox, I suggest you to read Firefox Add-ons: All You Need To Know, just to know more about some useful features.

You can use lots of programs to view graphic files on your computer. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. Usualy people compare two-three programs and choose more handy tool among them. If you became accustomed to some tool, it is difficult for you to change it. But I recommend you to change your favourite tool to IrfanView (if it is not already your favourite tool 
).

Today I’ll tell you about one more small and helpful utility. It is File Renamer from Sherrod Computers. With this program you can quickly rename multiple files at the same time. Very often digital images have same names. I use File Renamer to rename duplicated file names from digital camera.

Roboform is one of programs that help me to save time. It logs into web sites and fills forms instead of me. So I do not need to go manually to a web page, fill in login form, and even hit “submit” button. Roboform does it himself.
